After a several year hiatus due to COVID, Perch Base USSVI participated in in-person Memorial Day Ceremonies at the National Cemetery of Arizona, including Tolling of the Boats, on Monday, May 30, 2022. Back in 2020, the Memorial Day Ceremony was cancelled and in 2021, the Memorial Day Ceremony was cancelled, but Perch Base conducted an online virtual Tolling of the Boats ceremony.
Carl Miner and Dan Marks placed the wreaths for the Submarine Veterans of WW2 and the Perch Base Submarine Veterans at the Memorial Day ceremony. Chuck Emmett and Don Robertson conducted the Tolling of the Boats ceremony. The following photos are from the both the Memorial Day Ceremony and the Tolling of the Boats.
