The Phoenix Navy Week Proclamation Ceremony was held at the USS Arizona Memorial Gardens at Salt River in Scottsdale, AZ, on February 27, 2024.

Music for the posting of the colors, as well as entertainment was provided by the Navy Band Southwest, which came in from San Diego, CA, for numerous events during Phoenix Navy Week.

Nikki Stratton is the Boat Sponsor for the USS Arizona (SSN-803) and granddaughter of Don Stratton, a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack on the USS Arizona (BB-39). Don passed in 2020 at age 97.

One of the members of the Navy Band Southwest discussed how all the members of the battleship USS Arizona (BB-39) band were killed during the Pearl Harbor attack. The band's battle station was the loading the powder from the magazine to the lift to the guns.

Nikki Stratton is the Boat Sponsor for the USS Arizona (SSN-803) and granddaughter of Don Stratton, a survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack on the USS Arizona (BB-39). Don passed in 2020 at age 97. Nikki discussed the life of her grandfather both before and after the Pearl Harbor attack.
