Perch Base
Anthem & Black Canyon City Veterans Day Parades
Perch Base took the USS Phoenix float to the Daisy Mountain Veterans Day Parade in
Anthem, Arizona, on Saturday, November 5, 2022.
After that parade, we took the float up to Black Canyon City for a second parade. Needless to say, we couldn't pass the Rock Springs Cafe
on the way up to Black Canyon City without a stop for pie and "whatever."
The Anthem Veterans Memorial is designed so that the apertures line up at 11:11:11 AM on November 11 of every year. I have never seen it when it is aligned because I am always participating in the parade at the same time. Thanks to Perch Base Life Member John Mosher, he caught this photo at just the right time at the parade in 2019! Read more about the Anthem Veterans Memorial at this LINK. (You can see it again on January 30, 2023 at 11:40:34 AM)
