Black Canyon City Veterans Day Parade
Perch Base took the USS Phoenix float to the Black Canyon City, Arizona, Veterans Day Parade on
Saturday, November 9, 2019.
They were so pleased to have us back that they have already extended an invitation for 2020.
Of course, the first thing we had to do was stop at the Rock Springs Cafe along our way for a slice of
pie and a cup of coffee.

Do We Have A Prayer? . . . YES!
These GENTLEMEN from the Freedom Biker Outreach Motorcycle Ministry saw our group of Submarine Veterans
and asked if they could say a prayer over us!
Ready to roll!
This gent along the parade route was wearing a Purple Heart cap from his Vietnam combat. I had to stop and say "Thank your for your sacrifice," and asked him if I could take his picture. We then saluted each other.
